Everyone is learning the benefits for increasing the amount of veggies you intake each day, not just for weight loss but for our health and the health of those we love. There are many ways to do this and the best (because you don’t lose any of the nutrients in the veggies) is to juice. Listed below are a two of my favorites juices. I hope you enjoy them and remember to stay as close to organic as you can. The difference you will feel with a healthy diet are amazing!! Plus the weight loss doesn’t hurt, I will post more juices soon and ENJOY!!!!
Apple/Kale/Lettuce/Celery/Cucumber
For 1 glass
Ingredients:
• 1 medium red apple
• 3 large leaves of kale
• 2 large leaves of lettuce
• 3 stalks of celery
• 1/2 medium cucumber
Prep:
1. Rinse and chop all veggies. Make sure to use cold water and to keep food separated. ( For the cucumbers you can cut into 1 inch chunks)
2. Remove the core of the apple but leave the skin on.
3. Cut celery into 2 in chunks.
4. Roll the kale and lettuce into balls and put through the juicer with the other ingredients.
5. Pour and enjoy!
Hint:
• To preserve the nutrients of the veggies juices should be enjoyed at room temp, however, if you want a cold juice simply put ice in. Do not chill or leave in the fridge.
Benefits:
1. Kale, lettuce, celery and apple work as a great cleanser and will help rid your body of toxins and fats.
Grape/Apple/Red Cabbage/Celery
For 1 glass
Ingredients:
• 1 cup seedless grapes
• 1 1/3 cup chopped apples
• 1/4 cup chopped red cabbage
• 3 stalks of celery
Prep:
1. Rinse and chop all veggies. Make sure to use cold water and to keep food separated.
2. Remove the apple core and chop into 1 inch slices, chop the red cabbage and celery.
3. Put all ingredients into the juicer and enjoy!
Hint:
• To preserve the nutrients of the veggies juices should be enjoyed at room temp, however, if you want a cold juice simply put ice in. Do not chill or leave in the fridge.
Benefits:
1. This juice is full of awesome vitamins A, C, and E. It also has nutrients that help with weight loss and insulin problems.
2. Red cabbage is full of antioxidants that counter act problems with hypertension, obesity and it protects the brain from Alzheimer’s disease.
