A Juice A Day Keeps the Doctor Away! Part 3

Everyone is learning the benefits for increasing the amount of veggies you intake each day, not just for weight loss but for our health and the health of those we love. There are many ways to do this and the best (because you don’t lose any of the nutrients in the veggies) is to juice. Listed below are a two of my favorites juices. I hope you enjoy them and remember to stay as close to organic as you can. The difference you will feel with a healthy diet are amazing!! Plus the weight loss doesn’t hurt, I will post more juices soon and ENJOY!!!!

Broccoli/ Bell Pepper/Carrots
For 1 glass
Ingredients:
• 3 cups broccoli (about 2 stalks)

• 2 cups carrots
Prep:
1. Rinse and chop all veggies. Make sure to use cold water and to keep food separated.
2. Wash and remove seeds from bell pepper.
3. Pour and enjoy!
Hint:
• To preserve the nutrients of the veggies juices should be enjoyed at room temp, however, if you want a cold juice simply put ice in. Do not chill or leave in the fridge.
• Try adding a small apple to the juice to sweeten the taste.
Benefits:
1. Carrots are super versatile and can be combined with almost all veggies or fruits!
2. Broccoli is excellent for weight loss and rich in vitamin A and K, foliate, fiber, and manganese.
3. Bell peppers increase your metabolism, controls your appetite, and suppresses your sweet tooth.

• 1/2 medium cucumber
• 4 medium carrots

1. Rinse and chop all veggies. Make sure to use cold water and to keep food separated.
2. For the cucumbers, carrots, and beets (also peel beets) you can cut into 1 inch chunks to Juice easier.
3. Roll cabbage leaves into tight balls.
4. Put all ingredients into the juicer and enjoy!
Hint:
• To preserve the nutrients of the veggies juices should be enjoyed at room temp, however, if you want a cold juice simply put ice in. Do not chill or leave in the fridge.
• Juice the cabbage and beets together to extract more juice from the cabbage.
Benefits:
1. Cabbage is high in vitamin K and fiber and low in fat and sodium, this will help those on a diet or those that love paleo friendly foods.
